Very emotional mail today

I got a letter from LifeLink of Georgia (organ donation place) today about my daddy's organs. As I opened it, tears came to my eyes and I could barely read it. Here is what it said about the recipients:

Your father's heart recipient is a 55 year-old male who was transplanted in North Carolina but lives in Georgia. He had been waiting for a heart since April 2007. He is married with two daughters and one son. He enjoys working in his yard and hunting.

A 43 year-old female who had been waiting since May 2007 received your father's liver. She lives in New York and enjoys spending time wit her friends.

It has been so hard losing my daddy, but it has been made easier knowing that his organs saved the lives of two people. When we made the decision about organ donation, the nurse told us that they would more than likely NOT be able to find a recipient for his heart so it has been awesome to know that he was able to give someone else the gift of life.
